Light Chemical Peels

Light chemical peels help to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, combat dry skin, smooth rough texture, lighten dark spots, soften the skin, control active acne, exfoliate razor bumps, may help to reduce keratoses (pre-cancers), and add an over-all boost to your home skin care program.

Our light chemical peel is a deeper treatment than a glycolic peel. After treatment, the skin should remain dry for the first night. For the next 5 days you should begin washing your face 3 times a day applying a thin layer of Vaseline or other product if recommended. Usually, the face will turn a deep pink or red (like an severe sunburn). The skin will be very tight like a mask for a couple of days, and then slowly begin to crack and peel. Heaviest peeling usually occurs within 3 to 5 days. However, peeling occurs on its own and may vary from person to person.

Generally, the dryer the skin, the better the peel. If necessary, you may spray your face with cool water. This will help to relieve tightness and encourage live cell-building.

After treatment use sunblock of spf 32 or higher if spending time outdoors. Do not use topical exfoliates or scrubs. On the fifth day after treatment you may resume moisturizing regimen.

For best results this peel is recommend bi-monthly and maintained by using Retin-A and Hydroquinone.

How much is the chemical cost? How many times does it take to help the sun spots of the chest?

    Thanks!

    • Donna,

This is Susan at EL Clinical and I am sorry we are just know learning how to find comments and how to respond to them. I see that this was posted in June. To answer your question the chemical peels range from $75-$800 depending on the type and number of applications. We also offer the Fraxel laser which is excellent for sun spots on the chest. I can send you some information or you can visit us at EL now that we have finally figured out how to check our messages please feel free to ask any other questions.

      Thanks

      Susan
